Table for Two
A computer-generated animation short

Autumn 2001 - Spring 2002

I was initially attracted to the UW computer science department, because of their animation course. Two years into college, I had the chance to participate in that year-long course on animation. I immediately became interested in creating 3D models. When it came time to designate the leads for our main production, I was chosen to lead the 3D characters team. We were responsible for all the human characters in the short film, Table for Two.

Table for Two is about an adopted woman who will meet her biological father for the very first time. While waiting in a restaurant, she reminisces about her childhood living with her adopted father. The three images above are screenshots from her memories. They have a hand-drawn feeling, because the memories were being by "drawn" by the woman.
